Annual data summary
NEW Water PFAS sample collection summary (Green Bay and De Pere treatment facilities)
As part of our ongoing pollution prevention efforts, NEW Water voluntarily began sampling at its two treatment facilities in the spring of 2023. NEW Water is not currently subject to PFAS surface water criteria or monitoring requirements. After a Quality Assurance Review, an annual data summary has been compiled.
NEW Water conducted quarterly monitoring at locations representative of our incoming untreated wastewater and our outgoing treated wastewater at the Green Bay Facility and the De Pere Facility.
The 2023 data offer a baseline to help inform future monitoring needs and pollution prevention strategies. Check out the data>>

NEW Water was honored with a 2024 Public Information & Education Award from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) for its initiative, “Planning for the Future in Northeast Wisconsin,” a robust communications and education program plan and implementation regarding critical infrastructure upgrades. Congratulations, Lynn Terrien, 2024 NEW Watershed Champion!
On March 14, 2024, NEW Water honored Lynn Terrien with the 2024 NEW Watershed Champion Award. Terrien’s dedicated career includes work as a science educator, and as one of the original teachers of the Lower Fox River Watershed Monitoring Program, where she currently serves as Outreach and Education Coordinator.
