With many vexing water issues facing our era, our community, and our utility, NEW Water aims to factor the triple bottom line into decisions for a more sustainable future.
NEW Water sustainability initiatives include Lean projects that streamline operations and lower costs; reusing water at our facilities to save costs and conserve water; producing nearly 40% our own electricity at our Green Bay Facility from materials that would have otherwise been considered a waste; and watershed work designed to improve water quality, and achieve permit compliance at the lowest cost.
As we strive to be a Utility of the Future, we will incorporate principles of sustainability into our approach to financial and environmental stewardship, as we continue to provide an essential service to protect public health for the community we serve.
