NASA GroupU.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin visits NEW Water

NEW Water hosted U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin in September to learn more about cyanobacteria, also known as blue-green algae. As part of the visit, a panel discussion was held with leaders from NEW Water and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, followed by a brief tour of the lower Bay of Green Bay.

STEM camp with Commander Cleanwater 2019Congratulations to the Greater Green Bay Boys & Girls Club's new "Defenders of the Bay"!

NEW Water's fourth annual STEM Superheroes Camp was held this summer, where campers defeat evil villains "Unflushables," "Sinister Sediment," and "Phosphorus Phury." NEW Water staff (including "Watershed Warrior Woman," "Commander Cleanwater" and "Wizard Wastewater") help the children earn their "Defender" titles through fun activities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

NEW Water held a quarterly update meeting on September 10, covering topics including 2020 budgeting process; Adaptive Management; facilities plan; and more.
